Black Desert was the final course designed by Tom Weiskopf before his passing in 2022, completed by his longtime design partner Phil Smith and opened to the public in 2023. Carved through ancient basalt lava fields near St. George, Utah, the par-72 layout has been described as "Kona meets Sedona."

🌋 By the Numbers: In 2024, Black Desert hosted the PGA TOUR's Black Desert Championship — the Tour's first event in Utah since 1963 — and added an LPGA Tour event in 2025, making it the only course hosting official PGA and LPGA Tour events in the same season.
